Clinical Round Tables

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss different topics and indications in small groups with our renowned experts. The participants will move in small groups from one round table to the next so that all participants spend 30 minutes with each of the experts. Registration will be required for this unique experience of small-group discussions with our international experts. For further information on the Clinical Round Table prices, please check the registration page. Registration opens in September.

Osteology Workshops

Places to the workshops are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. Attendees must also register for the Scientific Symposium to join a workshop. For further information on workshop prices, please check the registration page. Registration opens in September.

WS 5: Peri-implant bone regeneration Speaker: Tara Aghaloo, USA, Assisted by: Vitor Stuani, Brazil More Details

Since implant survival and success are greater than 95% in most short-term and long-term studies, bone loss can occur over the lifetime of the implant. This is especially of concern in the anterior esthetic zone, where thin buccal bone can often compromise esthetics and function. As dental implants continue to increase in usage and popularity, clinicians must be well trained in bone augmentation procedures and techniques. Exposed threads or a thin buccal plate at the time of implant placement can certainly lead to resorption with subsequent bone loss and gingival recession, posing challenges for both clinicians and patients. Unfortunately, methods and techniques to regenerate bone around implants display varying degrees of success, leaving clinicians with uncertainty in recommending and providing appropriate treatment.

This hands-on session (with pig jaws) will provide or enhance the technical skills of practicing clinicians on procedures peri-implant bone regeneration and soft tissue and flap management.

WS 6: Vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation Speaker: Istvan Urban, Hungary, Assisted by: Sophia Richardson, Australia More Details

Vertical and horizontal augmentation presents one of the greatest challenges of bone regeneration in implant dentistry. This is primarily due to the difficulty of the surgical procedure and its potential complications.

These complications include postsurgical swelling, bruising, and potential neurosensory disturbances. Minimally invasive flap management that can minimize the chances of these complications will be revealed during this hands-on course. Graft harvesting, membrane fixation for vertical augmentation as well as for the Sausage Technique TM will be practiced.

A step by step approach how to protect the neurovascular bundles such as the mental nerve and to achieve a safe, tension free closure will be learned during this practical course.

Partner & Industry Workshops

Straumann Workshop: The STAR concept in full-arch rehabilitation: from principles to practice Speaker to be announced at a later date More Details

Rehabilitating edentulous patients with immediate implant placement and loading offers clear benefits in terms of patient comfort and reduced treatment time. However, clinical success remains challenging due to anatomical limitations, bone variability, and prosthetic demands. The STAR concept provides a structured framework that guides clinicians through each critical step, transforming complexity into a reproducible pathway toward reliable outcomes. By integrating evidence with practice, this workshop will equip clinicians with the skills and confidence to implement the STAR concept in daily treatment. Distinguished speakers will outline the STAR principles, emphasizing how surgical precision, correct timing, anatomical respect, and restorative planning interconnect to support immediate full-arch function. Case selection, risk management, and digital workflows will also be highlighted. In the hands-on component, participants will apply these concepts directly, practicing guided surgical protocols and restorative techniques.
